Ms. Nichols' practice at Neuberger Rose focuses on criminal and regulatory charges as well as fraud related civil actions. Ms. Nichols has developed a thriving practice defending a range of offences, dealing largely with sexual and domestic assault, as well as impaired driving charges. She has also been retained to defend several large prosecutions, including defending several clients charged with first degree murder. In addition, Ms. Nichols has extensive experience in dealing with mental health cases both in the trial courts and before the Ontario Review Board. Ms. Nichols practice regularly involves constitutional litigation, as she has been engaged with several noteworthy constitutional challenges to federal legislation.

- Ms. Nichols is a former Crown Attorney from Brampton, Ontario
- Ms. Nichols was an instructor for the Advocacy Society's Program "Mental Health and the Law", and has been a speaker at several continuing legal education programs.

- Ms. Nichols has co-authored three academic articles and was the recipient of an award for Advocacy in her final year of law school.
