First Offence Conviction Consequences
- a minimum fine of $600.00
- a minimum one-year driving prohibition period
- possible period of probation
Second Offence Conviction Consequences
- a minimum jail sentence of 14 days
- a minimum two-year driving prohibition period (a minimum of three-year suspension if the prior conviction was within the past 10-year period)
- possible period of probation
Third Offence Conviction Consequences
- a minimum jail sentence of 90 days
- a minimum three-year driving prohibition period to a maximum of a life-time suspension
- possible period of probation
Fourth Offence or More Conviction Consequences
- a jail sentence in excess of 90 days
- permanent suspension in the Province of Ontario
- possible period of probation
